The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Beautiful blouse, knitted from the bottom up with ribbed edges, diamond sides in stockinette stitch, and reverse stockinette in between.
The blouse is knitted in the round up to the armholes, after which the front and back pieces are knitted separately. The sleeves are knitted separately and then sewn on.
The blouse should be knitted in Mayflower Easy Care, which is 100% warm and breathable wool. The yarn can be machine washed and tumble dried.
