Most hats are stockinette stitched, but you can actually create the most beautiful texture patterns by combining garter stitch with stockinette stitch, which we have done on this hat. Most of the hat is garter stitched, which contrasts with four stockinette 'bands' that move from the bottom to the top of the hat. Additionally, the hat also has a ribbed edge at the bottom, which ensures that the hat fits well on the head.

The hat is knitted in Mayflower Molly Fine, which is a relatively thick wool quality spun from 100% lightly spun wool. Therefore, the hat becomes pleasantly thick, warm, and with good breathability.

Wool is generally one of the best types of yarn fibers for knitted hats. Wool has a fantastic ability to create natural warmth that feels comfortable.

The pattern is good for beginners, as only knit and purl stitches are used to create the fine pattern. At the same time, the texture pattern is also delightfully easy and makes the hat a relaxing knitting project.
