This men's sweater has a timeless design with wide horizontal stripes that give a nice color effect without ruining the simple design of the sweater. The simple look is emphasized by the sweater itself, which is stockinette knitted and classic with a round neckline and ribbed edges.

The sweater can be worked in either Mayflower Easy Care Classic or Mayflower Baby Alpaca. These are two very different yarn qualities, but both are perfect for this sweater. Our Baby Alpaca is a wonderful combination of 60% alpaca and 40% nylon, while Easy Care Classic is 100% pure new wool. 

You get excellent comfort with both yarn qualities, but they also both have unique benefits. Our Easy Care Classic is soft and comfortable, and as an added bonus, it's machine washable and tumble dryable. Mayflower Baby Alpaca is even softer than Easy Care Classic and a hypoallergenic choice for people who are sensitive to the lanolin in sheep's wool. 

With its simple design, this sweater is also a relatively beginner-friendly project.
