When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Nice and simple men's sweater with a hood.
The hoodie can be knitted in either Mayflower Easy Care, which can be both washed and tumble dried, or in Mayflower 1 Class, which consists of 75% superwash-treated wool and 25% polyamide for a sweater in a quality that is both warm and durable. Perfect for a sweater like this, which needs to be able to withstand wear and tear while still being comfortable to wear.
This pattern is knitted with 2 strands of yarn. If you choose two different colors of yarn, you will achieve the mottled color effect you see in the picture, and you can of course also choose to knit with two identical colors for a cleaner look. Both will work well with this model, and there are many beautiful colors to choose from, depending on your taste.
