New Sky Light is a soft, fluffy blend of alpaca and wool that we have spun in Italy. Alpaca and wool are both organic fibers that ensure warmth and breathability. Polyamide forms a flexible net that holds the fibers together and increases durability. The fibers give the finest, mottled play of colors.

The light and airy yarn has good elasticity, which becomes lovely in your knitting and ensures that it retains its shape. The fluffy texture from alpaca and wool contributes to an exclusive look. With an impressive length of 300m, just a few skeins go a long way.

New Sky Light

Can be used for

Mayflower New Sky Light is spun in Italy at a renowned spinning mill with a focus on good craftsmanship. Alpaca and wool are the primary fibers of the yarn, ensuring good breathability and great comfort, while the content of polyamide makes the yarn durable. The colors are truly unique. The fibers are dyed in a special way, which gives them a natural beautiful color depth with a light and beautiful melange.

Especially alpaca wool is famous for its excellent properties, where alpaca fibers provide even better warmth than sheep's wool. At the same time, alpaca wool is also wonderfully light and airy, which can also be felt in New Sky Light. These properties are combined with regular wool, which contributes more structure to the yarn. Both fibers are, of course, of the highest quality, so the yarn becomes as soft as possible. The wool is also mulesing-free and comes from South America, where the alpaca fibers come from Peru.

New Sky Light goes incredibly far. You get a full 300 meters in a 50 g skein, so you don't need many skeins for, for example, a sweater or a cardigan. It also says something about how light the yarn is, even though it has good volume.

You can use New Sky Light for many different projects, but the yarn really shines when used for clothes, shawls, or accessories. Here you can truly feel the yarn's unique qualities, as you get a finished result that feels both light and warming at the same time.

Note! New Sky Light is the improved version of the previous yarn quality in our range, which was called Mayflower Sky Light. Both Knitting gauge and yarn length are maintained, so you can still use all the patterns that were made for Sky Light. You can find all Patterns in our large pattern universe.
