Mayflower now has a lot of different knitting patterns, using a multitude of different knitting techniques. Nevertheless, we must not forget to appreciate the very simple techniques, as a garter stitch sweater like this can also be incredibly beautiful. Especially when you combine the easy technique with beautiful colors.

The sweater is knitted with wide block stripes in five different and beautiful colors. It is not knitted on Circular Needle, so you just have to knit back and forth with knit stitches. This makes this Pattern very beginner-friendly, and it can be an obvious choice if you want to knit your first sweater.

The sweater is knitted in Easy Care Classic, which is 100% pure wool. Easy Care Classic is one of our most popular yarns, as it is quality yarn at a good price. In addition, the yarn can both be machine washed and tumble dried, which is a big plus in many homes. The yarn is warm and breathable and provides a wonderfully comfortable sweater.

Note: The original design is made in Mayflower Easy Care Classic color 255. Unfortunately, the color has been discontinued. As a replacement, we recommend color 281, which is similar to the discontinued color. Just be aware that you will get a different result than in the picture. You can choose your own colors with a click on 'Choose another color', which unfolds the entire color chart.
