The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

The Bellis Sweater is an artful sweater knitted with a beautiful pattern border that makes the sweater truly unique.
The sweater is worked from the bottom up to the armholes, after which the front and back are finished separately. The sleeves are worked from the top down to reduce the need for shaping, while the neck edge is worked last.
Bellis is a lovely sweater that is extremely comfortable to wear. It has a slightly loose fit and is knitted in our lovely Mayflower Birmingham, which is a blend of alpaca and wool with beautiful viscose tweed stitches.
The tweed dots add extra play of color to the sweater's beautiful pattern board, which is knitted in stockinette stitch and contrasts with the rest of the sweater, which is knitted in stockinette stitch.
This sweater is primarily intended for intermediate knitters who have experience with or are interested in learning to work in stockinette stitch. We hope you enjoy it.
