When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Retro-style loose blouse with batwing sleeves and a unique textured pattern that runs at an angle. The loose sleeves provide a comfortable and lightweight fit.
The blouse is knitted from the bottom up in pattern, creating a beautiful slanted textured pattern. The bottom hem, neckline and sleeve edges are worked in rib.
The blouse is knitted in a soft and breathable Mayflower Cotton 8/4, which doesn't get too warm. The yarn is therefore a great choice for a summery blouse like this one, which needs to be comfortable and lightweight. The yarn is available in several beautiful colors.
Alternatively, you can also knit the blouse in Mayflower Cotton 8/4 Organic, which has the same gauge and length. The yarn is organic and GOTS certified and, like the regular Cotton 8/4, comes in beautiful shades.
