When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Our Britta bolero is knitted in the exclusive Mayflower Casablanca Lux, which is an airy and soft yarn quality that is something out of the ordinary. The yarn features a simple mica thread, which creates a unique effect when combined with the beautiful colors and fluffy texture of the yarn.
These properties make Casablanca Lux perfect for clothing - for example, a lovely and airy bolero that can be worn all year round. You get a remarkably lightweight bolero, as Casablanca Lux has a running length of 225 meters per 50 grams, even though this pattern is knitted on 4.5 mm needles.
The bolero itself has a simple design with beautiful stripes formed by purl stitches on the RS of the work. It adds a little extra detail, and that's all that's needed when the Casablanca Lux itself provides so much visual interest. For a great fit, the Britta bolero also has ribbed edges and buttons for closure.
The Britta bolero is a wonderfully simple pattern where the yarn does much of the work for you. It's a joy to knit with Casablanca Lux and for a size medium, for example, you only need four balls.
