When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Crocheted clutch, which can be used as a bag or for storing smaller items in a larger bag. The finished clutch measures approximately 26 x 14 cm and is fitted with a zipper. The clutch changes color continuously throughout the work.
The clutch is crocheted in cotton with 2 threads: 1 thread Mayflower Cotton 8/8 and 1 thread of the slightly thinner Mayflower Cotton 8/4. The thick Cotton 8/8 is the continuous base color, while switching between 4 different colors of Cotton 8/4 to give a continuous color change.
The clutch is crocheted round from the bottom up by first crocheting a chain of air stitches, where single crochet stitches are made on both sides of the chain to double the stitch count. The zipper is sewn onto the top edge of the clutch. Cotton yarn is the ideal yarn for a crocheted clutch, as cotton is both a firm and soft yarn to work with.
The bag therefore becomes soft while maintaining its shape well. Cotton is also a durable and strong yarn, so you can enjoy your clutch for a long time to come. You can also get crochet patterns for a small purse and a shoulder bag in the same design.
