The Fyrtøjet Sweater is a charming children's sweater that can be knitted for both boys and girls. Don't be intimidated by the sweater's advanced rib structure, because the sweater is simply knitted in mock brioche, which is a surprisingly simple knitting technique. 

Mock brioche is a very elastic knitting technique that gives a sweater with a fantastic fit, adapting to the body's movements. Perfect for active children, where the sweater needs to suit a day of play and free movement. 

The sweater is designed with many fine details, which you will probably only discover all of when you start knitting the sweater. For example, notice the beautiful stripe that runs down the side of the sweater, creating a flattering contrast to the rib structure. 

In this Pattern, we have used Mayflower Baby Alpaca, which with the combination of alpaca and polyamide provides an ultra-soft yet durable quality, well-suited for children's knitting. Alternatively, you can also use Mayflower Easy Care Classic. A quality of 100% pure wool, which can withstand both a trip in the washing machine and the dryer.

The pattern is easier than it may seem, as mock brioche is quite easy to knit, since it only requires knitting and purling.
