When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

The Elverhøj Hoodie is the perfect example of an ideal knitting pattern for children. The hoodie is extremely comfortable to wear as it is knitted in ultra-soft yarn. The sweater has great freedom of movement and looks great too. And as an added bonus, the pattern can be used for both girls and boys. What's not to love?
The hoodie is knitted in two strands, using either Mayflower Easy Care or Mayflower Easy Care Tweed is used. The difference between the two yarn qualities is the colors. While Easy Care is solid, Easy Care Tweed has beautiful tweed highlights, so there are colors for every taste, as you can also choose Easy Care but in two different colors. In other words, there are plenty of opportunities to add your own touch to the shirt or let the recipient decide the look. The greater the color difference in the chosen yarn, the clearer the mottled effect.
The front, back and sleeves of the hoodie are knitted separately and joined at the end, and then the hood is knitted on. We recommend this project primarily for the intermediate knitter.
