When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Crocheted café curtains

Crocheted, charming café curtains in retro style for both the top and bottom of the window. Both the length and width of the curtain can easily be adjusted to the individual window, as it consists of a simple construction.
First, crochet the number of granny squares needed to make the curtain wide enough for the desired window, and sew the squares together. Then crochet the square pattern over the granny squares using double crochet and chain stitches until the curtain reaches the desired height. Finally, crochet a decorative lace edge at the bottom. At the top, curtain rings can now be attached, and the curtain is ready to be hung.
The café curtains are crocheted in Mayflower Cotton 8/4, which is very suitable for crocheting, as the yarn is firm in structure and holds its shape well. Additionally, the cotton yarn is easy to wash when the curtains need cleaning.
Note: This Pattern was originally created for the quality Mayflower Cotton 8 Mercerized. Unfortunately, the yarn has been discontinued from our range, and we have replaced it with Mayflower Cotton 8/4, which has the same Knitting gauge. Just remember to always make a gauge swatch before starting the project to ensure that the gauge and finished measurements are accurate.
