Crochet Easter chicks are a cute and fun craft project, perfect for spreading Easter joy in your home. With this free pattern, you can create your own unique Easter chick with just a few materials and a little time.
The Easter chick looks best in bright colors so that the small details like the beak and head comb stand out. The chick is crocheted in several parts - first the head and body, then the beak and comb are sewn onto the body before being stuffed with wadding and sewn together at the end.
You will need Mayflower Elba and Cotton 8/4 for the chicken. If the chicken has a small stain, it can be washed by hand or wiped with a damp cloth. If you use a stiff brush and brush quite hard on the body and snout, it will have a downy and fluffy appearance.
