The Inka sweater is a beautiful sweater with an elaborate pattern on the yoke. For the pattern, colors have been chosen that are similar to the base color of the sweater, which gives an extra beautiful play of colors on the yoke without major color contrasts.

The sweater is worked from the top down, so you start by working the pattern on the yoke.

The sweater is knitted in the hand-dyed Mayflower Amadora, which is the main reason why the sweater has such a beautiful pattern. The hand-dyed yarn has a mottled look that creates an even more beautiful play of colors and gives the Inka Sweater its fairytale appearance. Amadora is spun from pure extra-fine merino wool and is also very soft. To increase comfort, the sweater is also designed with reversible stitches at the neck for a snug fit.

With hand-dyed yarn, there can be large color differences between the individual batches, and with Amadora there can also be color differences between the skeins, even if you use yarn from the same dyeing. We therefore recommend that you buy all the yarn you need for your size to make sure you don't run out.

When knitting, you can also try to make a smoother transition when changing to a new skein. When you're nearing the end of your cloves, you can switch to the new one a little earlier. For example, knit 1-2 rounds with the new clue, then with the old clue, switch back to the new clue and continue like this until your old clue is used up. This won't remove the difference, but it will smooth out the transition a little more.
