At first glance, this lovely knitted jacket looks traditional, but on closer inspection you'll find that it has a fun twist. The pockets are knitted in a different color than the rest of the jacket, which is a nice and discreet detail.

Both jacket and pockets are knitted in the lovely Mayflower New Sky, which is a lovely combination of 42% alpaca, 42% wool and 16% nylon. New Sky has a running length of 150 meters per 50 grams and is an airy yarn quality. Therefore, this pattern should be knitted on needles 5 and 6 to keep the jacket nice and light.

You won't get cold with this jacket, as alpaca wool is known for being extra warm and soft. At the same time, the alpaca wool also gives the jacket a fluffy sheen, which is both flattering and modern.

The pattern is suitable for both beginners and intermediate knitters, as there are no difficult knitting techniques involved. It is also knitted on relatively large needles, making it a relatively quick knitting project.

NOTE: This design is part of our archive patterns. These may have been designed in discontinued yarn qualities or otherwise have lost their relevance. Please note that we unfortunately cannot offer support for patterns in the archive.
