The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Mrs. Claus
It wouldn't be Christmas without Santa Claus, but we can't forget their Christmas wives either. This adorable Mrs. Claus is ready to make Christmas cozy in your home, and all it takes is a bit of yarn and a little ingenuity.
The Christmas cone is crocheted in Mayflower Cotton 8/4, which is our popular cotton yarn. The yarn quality is, of course, 100% cotton.
This pattern can easily be adapted if you want to make an elf girl instead. Simply choose a different hair color and suddenly the finished doll will have a completely different look.
