The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Kitchen towel and potholders
Crochet soft kitchen towels and potholders that can be crocheted in either stripes or checks.
Tip: You can crochet both a front and back for the potholders to make them extra thick, so you're sure not to burn yourself on a hot baking sheet.
Towels and potholders are knitted in the soft and firm cotton yarn Mayflower Cotton 8/4, which is durable and machine washable.
In addition, cotton has a high absorbency and is therefore a very suitable yarn for towels.
