The Lærke sweater is a loose-fitting and very comfortable sweater that also has the most beautiful details - for example, a beautiful lace pattern row along the shoulders of the sweater, which is artfully knitted with a visible edge.

The sweater itself is quite an exciting knitting project, where the top of the back is knitted up first. Then stitches are picked up for both front pieces, which are joined after the neckline. Finally, join the front and back together after the armholes and continue in the round on a circular needle. The sleeves are knitted directly onto the sweater, so there is no need for fitting.

The sweater is knitted in Mayflower Easy Care Classic Tweed, which gives the sweater its beautiful tweed look. At the same time, Easy Care Classic Tweed has a slightly mottled effect, as the fibers of the yarn absorb the color differently and create a beautiful depth of color.

Mayflower Easy Care Tweed is a complement to our Easy Care Classic. The two yarn qualities have the same running length and knitting tension, so you can also make a solid-colored sweater with Easy Care Classic.

The pattern is rated as medium difficulty, but it shouldn't be a challenge if you have previously tried knitting using the method described in the previous section.
