Long ribbed cardigan

A long cardigan can be worn all year round. It's great for cozying up on the couch in winter and for cool summer evenings on the patio. The cardigan is knitted entirely in rib knitting, which is an easy technique that alternates one knit and one purl. This type of knitting tends to contract and stretch, which gives an even better fit.

A good fit is especially important for a long cardigan, which should have a nice and natural drape around the body. With this pattern, this is achieved through the knitting technique. The cardigan is also meant to be left open, which is why it is designed without buttons.

The cardigan is knitted in Mayflower Easy Care Big, which is a relatively strong yarn quality in 100% pure wool with a running length of 85 meters per 50 grams. This means that you get a wonderfully thick and warm cardigan, so you can always stay warm.

Easy Care Big is the thickest yarn quality in the Easy Care yarn series. All three yarn qualities in this series are both machine washable and tumble dryable, so you don't have to worry about washing your new cardigan by hand.
