The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Long vest with pockets in the front piece, which is knitted in stockinette stitch with wide, garter stitch edges. The pockets are also made in garter stitch, creating a contrast to the stockinette.
The vest is knitted from the bottom up, and the back and front pieces are knitted separately. The parts are sewn together, and the pockets are also sewn on.
The vest is knitted in the soft Mayflower Easy Care Classic, which is 100% wool. The quality is therefore warm and comfortable to wear and will keep you warm year-round over, for example, a long-sleeved blouse.
