The Lærke sweater is a loose-fitting and very comfortable sweater, which at the same time has the most beautiful details – for example, a beautiful lace pattern row along the sweater's shoulders, which is artfully knitted with a visible edge.

The sweater itself is quite an exciting knitting project, where the upper back is knitted first. Then stitches is knitted up to both front pieces, which are joined after the neckline. Finally, the front and back pieces are joined after the armholes and continue around on Circular Needle. The sleeves are knitted directly onto the sweater, so no assembly is needed.

The sweater is knitted in Mayflower Easy Care Classic Tweed, which gives the sweater its beautiful appearance with tweed flecks. At the same time, Easy Care Classic Tweed has a slight mottled effect, as the yarn's fibers take the color differently and create a beautiful color depth.

Mayflower Easy Care Tweed is a supplement to our Easy Care Classic. The two yarn qualities have the same yardage and Knitting gauge, so you can also make a solid-colored sweater with Easy Care Classic.

The pattern is rated to have a medium difficulty level, but it should not be a challenge if you have previously tried knitting using the method described in the previous section.
