The Lucca sweater was created out of a desire for a modern sweater in multicolored patterned knit. A modern alternative to the more classic Faroese sweater. The result is the Lucca sweater's simple and minimalistic pattern. The sweater is knitted in two colors, and a third color is used for beautiful contrasting edges in the sweater's rib.

When you knit the sweater yourself, there are plenty of opportunities to get creative with the colors. A bold effect is created when you choose a strong contrasting color, but the result is also beautiful with a more subdued contrast.

You'll especially love this sweater on the colder days of the year, as it's thick and cozy. It's knitted in Molly Fine, which is pure, lightly spun wool with extra airiness, so your knit will feel light and comfortable to wear, even though it's a bulky quality.

The Lucca sweater is a relatively easy pattern and can be a great choice if you're trying multicolored knitting for the first time, as you'll only be knitting patterns with two colors at a time and over a few stitches. Molly Fine has a nice, strong structure that makes it easy to see the individual stitches and get a good grasp of the technique. You can also quickly correct any mistakes.
