Warm, knitted mittens with a wide, checkered edge, made in stockinette stitch using three different colors. The mittens are knitted on a circular needle, and if you follow the pattern and chart, it's actually a very manageable project, even if you haven't tried loom knitting before. The end result is a pair of lovely, soft mittens that you will enjoy all winter long.

The mitten itself is knitted in Mayflower Easy Care Classic in garter stitch with one round knit and one round purl. The checkered edge is worked in the thinner quality Mayflower Easy Care. Both yarns are 100% pure, soft, high-quality wool. Wool is naturally insulating and breathable, making it ideal for winter garments like these mittens.

As there are tweed versions of both Mayflower Easy Care and Mayflower Easy Care Classic, you can create several different color combinations.

In the same series of loom knits you will also find a beanie, scarf, headband and poncho.

WARNING: The original design is made inMayflower Easy Care color. 037, which has unfortunately been discontinued. We think that color. 036 would be a great replacement. Just be aware that you will get a different color expression than in the picture. You can always click 'Choose another color' and find the color(s) you like the most.
