The Mette sweater is a nice and simple sweater that is perfect for everyday wear. The sweater is knitted with stripes in two different colors. In our versions of the sweater, we have chosen a lighter base color, which is complemented by stripes in a slightly darker color.

The dark stripes of the sweater have an extra detail in the form of a simple lace pattern, which gives the sweater a fun twist. The color of the stripes is also reflected in the ribbed edge, giving the sweater a nice and cohesive look.

For this pattern, the following materials have been used Mayflower Baby Alpaca, which is a blend of alpaca and polyamide. Together, these two fibers make for one of the softest yarn qualities by far. At the same time, this yarn is also a good choice if you often find that sheep's wool can be itchy. In this case, you may be allergic to the lanolin in sheep's wool, which is not found in alpaca.

If you want to knit a sweater in a machine washable yarn, you can use our Mayflower Easy Care Classic, which has the same knitting tension as Baby Alpaca. Our Easy Care Classic is made from pure new wool and can be machine washed and tumble dried.
