When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

The Mira sweater is a simple sweater with beautiful stripes created by both color and texture changes. The sweater's wide stripes are stockinette knitted, while the narrow stripes are pearl knitted.
The sweater is worked from the bottom up to the armholes, and then the front and back are finished separately. Finally, the shoulders and sleeves are knitted on, so the sweater is completely seamless.
The Mira sweater is simple, yet it has a number of fine details that make it remarkable. In addition to the differences in structure, the sweater is also knitted with twisted rib edges that add a nice and extra sharp finish.
In this pattern we have used Mayflower Birmingham, which is a lovely yarn quality in wool and alpaca with viscose tweed nubs. The yarn gives the sweater a beautiful play of color that goes well with the other details.
