Ronja sweater - Birmingham Style
The sweater is worked from the top down on a circular needle with short rows on the back and divided at the armholes, where the stitches for the sleeves are placed on rest while the body is worked. At the top of the yoke and at the bottom of the sleeves there is a fine pattern. All edges are worked in rib and there is no assembly afterwards.
Ronja sweater is knitted in Mayflower Birmingham, which is a lovely, woolly tweed yarn with great color depth and fascinating nuances in its shades. The yarn is available in many different colors.
The sweater should be hand washed with wool detergent. A swatch that has been washed and dried is always a good starting point for knitting a sweater with the right fit.
