When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

The charming Butterfly Vest is easy to learn, even if you're a beginner. The vest is worked from the top down, starting with the garter stitch yoke, which has buttons in the back. At the transition to the stockinette stitch body, stitches are bound off at the armholes. A garter stitch edge at the bottom of the vest is a nice finishing touch.
The vest is knitted in the warm and breathable Mayflower Easy Care Tweed, which ensures that the vest is comfortable for the child to wear and allows the body to dissipate heat. The beautiful tweed stitches add to the softness of the yarn, making the vest very comfortable. The vest looks great over a blouse or bodysuit, for example. The yarn is available in many beautiful shades.
The vest can also be knitted in a solid color with no shading using Mayflower Easy Care, which has the same gauge and length.
