The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

The Summer Goose pants are soft and slightly higher at the back, which gives plenty of room for the diaper. There is a simple but decorative twist on both sides and a folded edge at the waist where the pants close with a knitted i-cord drawstring. At the end of the legs, there is a short ribbed edge to ensure that the pants stay in place and don't ride up. The pants are knitted from the top down.
The Summer Peek pants are knitted in the soft Mayflower Alliance Fine, which is a fine and comfortable yarn with a glossy texture and high durability. The yarn is also light, airy and breathable, making it ideal for garments such as these pants. The good breathability means that the pants can also be worn during the summer.
The big bonus is that the yarn can withstand washing at up to 40 degrees. The trousers are therefore easy to maintain and retain their softness after washing.
