When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

The soft Summer Goose Cardigan is knitted top-down with raglan increases and side fastenings, making it easy to get on and off your child. The front has delicate cables and a decorative pattern, while the back and sleeves are knitted in stockinette stitch. There are ribbed edges at the neck opening, sleeve edges and at the bottom of the sweater. Continuous buttonholes are made on the sides. The pattern goes from newborn to 3 years, so when your baby outgrows the sweater, you can make a similar one in a larger size, as the Summer Quail Cardigan may well turn out to be a favorite.
The sweater is knitted in the lovely, soft Mayflower Alliance Fine, which has a comfortable and lustrous structure with high durability. The yarn is also light, airy and breathable, making it ideal for clothing for both children and adults. The good breathability means that the sweater can also be used during the warmer months of the year.
An added bonus is that the yarn can be washed at up to 40 degrees. This means the sweater is easy to clean and actually retains its softness even after frequent washing.
