Light and airy top with an all-over lace pattern that feels wonderful and comfortable to wear.

The Stefanie top is knitted in the soft Mayflower Rimini, which is a unique blend of lyocell and polyamide, resulting in a soft, voluminous and lightweight yarn that feels great all year round. The yarn consists of a lyocell base with a thin polyamide mesh around it. The lyocell base is always in neutral white, so it is the colored polyamide mesh that defines the color. As the mesh is very fine and thin, the white base can be seen through, which gives a beautiful mottled color effect. The mottling becomes more pronounced the darker the yarn you choose. However, for garments such as this patterned top, a light color is also great, where the white base is less prominent and the pattern is more in focus. With Rimini, you get an incredibly light, delicious and comfortable top that you can wear with bare arms in the summer or with a long-sleeved blouse or shirt underneath.

Lyocell is based on organic and renewable wood fibers, mostly from fast-growing eucalyptus trees, making it one of the fibers of the future. The wood fibers are transformed into long fibers in an environmentally friendly and gentle process, which can be spun into soft yarn that can be used for hand knitting, among other things.

Rimini is a stretchy yarn for large needles (size 6), so we recommend a knitting test before you start using it if you tend to knit tightly. In addition, we also recommend that you handle the yarn with care and keep it away from Velcro, for example, as the netting is very thin and fine-meshed. But Rimini is a fascinating yarn, and once you get your hands on it, we think you'll be just as fascinated by it as we are.

The richness of Rimini makes it a great alternative to the warmer tubular yarns that are often filled with wool and/or alpaca fibers.

Rimini is available in several beautiful colors, where this model is knitted in no. 01 (cream).
