When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

The Stoppenålen cardigan is worked crosswise from one sleeve across the body to the other sleeve in a simple, symmetrical lace pattern. A simple cardigan that is easy to work - even for beginners. Once everything is knitted, cast on stitches for ribbing at the neck edge. Finally, fasten the sweater with buttons.
The Stoppenålen cardigan is worked in double strand in one strand Mayflower Easy Care Tweed and one strand Mayflower Super Kid Silk, and you only need 2 skeins of each quality in all pattern sizes. The combination of the woolly tweed yarn and the soft, fluffy mohair yarn gives the cardigan a lovely structure that feels great to knit. The cardigan is warm and will keep your little one warm during the cold months - whether it's inside the house, in the stroller or when you're out and about.
The yarn's tweed knots give the yarn and the sweater an extra spice and add a nice play of colors, and as an added bonus, the sweater is machine washable as the yarn is superwash treated.
