When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Knitted dress with eyelet pattern
Knitted dresses are often overlooked in favor of knitted sweaters, which is a shame, as you can knit the most delightful dresses. Many avoid knitting dresses because they fear the dress will end up being too thick, heavy, or warm. This is exactly what we have tried to avoid in this Pattern, and the result is a lovely and easy-to-knit dress with a lace pattern.
If you want to knit a light and lovely dress, it is first and foremost about choosing the right type of yarn, and we have therefore chosen Mayflower Super Kid Silk. The yarn is spun with 76% mohair and 24% silk, making it exceptionally light, and the dress therefore also becomes pleasantly airy and has a beautiful and natural drape.
The pattern is relatively simple, and the discreet lace pattern is a beautiful detail that fits well with the style of the dress. At the same time, the dress can also be worn all year round because it is so light and airy that it is also suitable for use in the summer months.
