When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Knitted dress with lace pattern
Knitted dresses are often overlooked in favor of knitted blouses, which is a shame because you can knit the most beautiful dresses. Many people avoid knitting dresses because they fear that the dress will end up being too thick, heavy or warm. That's exactly what we've tried to avoid in this pattern, and the result is a lovely and easy-to-knit dress with a lace pattern.
If you want to knit a light and lovely dress, it's all about choosing the right yarn type, which is why we have chosen Mayflower Super Kid Silk. The yarn is spun from 76% mohair and 24% silk and is extremely lightweight, making the dress wonderfully airy and giving it a beautiful, natural drape.
The pattern is relatively simple and the subtle lace pattern is a nice detail that suits the style of the dress. At the same time, the dress can also be worn all year round because it is so light and airy that it is also suitable for use in the summer months.
