The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

A lovely striped beach set for both girls and boys, knitted in a soft summer yarn. Alternatively, the pieces can also be knitted in one color for a calmer color expression.
The bikini top is worked from the bottom up, starting with the strap around the chest and then knitting the triangle on each side. The bikini bottoms are worked from the top down - also in the fine striped pattern.
The swim trunks are worked from the top down. First in solid color to the folded edge and then in stripes.
Both shorts and bikini are knitted in the breathable and soft Mayflower Cotton 8/4, which is ideal for summer wear as cotton fibers don't get too hot. Alternatively, you can also choose to use Mayflower Cotton 8/4 Organic. The GOTS-certified yarn has the same knitting tension and running length and is available in some great colors just like the regular Cotton 8/4.
Note: The amount of yarn only fits one of the pieces. If you want to knit both a bikini and swim trunks, you will need to buy double the amount of yarn.
