Striped cardigan for little ones

A cardigan for the little ones, knitted in a beautiful mix of stripes in stockinette stitch and garter stitch. The use of different techniques gives a beautiful effect. The sweater is knitted from the bottom up and can be made in sizes from newborn up to and including 4 years.

The yoke and sleeves are knitted in garter stitch and the sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch from the sleeve edge down. The stripes on the sleeves and yoke are narrower than on the front and back, and the difference in both stripe thickness and knitting technique gives a nice effect. 

The cardigan is knitted in Mayflower 1 Class, which is machine washable. It is therefore easy to maintain and clean. The yarn is available in several different colors that can be matched. Here in shades of grey, where there is a twist with a bright color in the sleeve edge. 

NOTE: The original design is made in Mayflower 1 Class in colors that have unfortunately been discontinued. As a replacement, we recommend colors 37, 35 and 24, which are very similar to the discontinued colors. Just be aware that you may get a different result than in the picture. You can choose your own colors by clicking 'Choose another color', which unfolds the entire color card.
