The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Sweater with patterns on both sleeves and body, knitted from the bottom up.
First in rib and then in pattern. The sleeves are knitted separately, and finally, all parts are sewn together.
Note: The original design is knitted in Mayflower Cotton 1, which is unfortunately discontinued. As a replacement, we recommend Mayflower Alliance Fine. Always remember to make a knitting sample before starting the project to ensure that the knitting gauge and thus the finished measurements are correct. Also, be aware that you will get a different color expression than in the picture, as there is no matching color. You can always click 'Choose another color' and find the color that you prefer the most.
