A cute cardigan with a delicate checkered textured pattern that can be knitted for children aged 3-24 months.

The 'Old Streetlight' cardigan is worked from the bottom up. Start with a ribbed edge and then continue in the checkered textured pattern. At the armholes, divide the work into front and back, finish each side separately and bind off. The sleeves are also worked from the bottom up and bound off. Sew the shoulders together and attach the sleeves at the armholes.

Pick up stitches at the front edges for ribbed button plackets and pick up stitches at the neck for a ribbed neck edge. The cardigan is fastened with small buttons.

The cardigan will be really soft and cozy as it is knitted in Mayflower London Merino Fine, which is a lovely wool yarn spun from extra fine merino wool. The cardigan is therefore incredibly comfortable and feels great against the delicate and fine baby skin. The wool is breathable and warm, so your child can wear the cardigan most of the year.

Strikkefasthed: Horizontal: 28 stitches = 10 cm. Vertical: 40 sticks = 10 cm.
