When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Very elegant cardigan with a fine pattern for the sleeves. The pattern is knitted top-down, which means that the cardigan is knitted from the top down. Many prefer this knitting technique as everything can be knitted out in one piece and there is no need for assembly afterwards.
The cardigan is designed with a fine lace pattern on the sleeves, which helps to create a beautiful and feminine look. The front is designed in stockinette stitch, which provides a nice contrast to the garter stitch edge with buttonholes.
The pattern can be worked in either Mayflower Easy Care Classic and Mayflower Baby Alpaca. Easy Care Classic is pure wool and wonderfully soft and breathable, and the yarn is machine washable and tumble dryable. Easy Care Classic is therefore ideal for busy families. Although Easy Care Classic is soft, Baby Alpaca manages to be even softer and is the more hypoallergenic yarn choice.
Whether you choose Easy Care Classic or Baby Alpaca, you'll get the most beautiful cardigan, and both yarns are available in fantastic colors.
