Both pieces are knitted in rib with one knit and one purl and can be knitted in plain, striped or checked. Depending on what the recipient wants.

The undershirt is knitted from the bottom up, and the front and back are knitted separately and sewn together at the end. Crochet decorative mousetacks at the neckline and armholes.

The shorts are also worked from the bottom up, and a row of holes is made at the waist to attach an elastic band. Crochet shell stitches at the leg edges for a nice finish.

The underwear is worked in Mayflower Cotton 8/4, which is a very suitable yarn for garments like this. The yarn is easy to wash, breathable, soft and not too warm. And to knit both, you only need four balls for a children's set and six balls for an adult set.
