When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

Classic stockinette knit cardigan with dome sleeves and ribbed edges to be worked from the top down.
The back and front pieces are worked separately and joined under the armhole, where the cardigan is finished. Cast on stitches for sleeves in the armholes. Then cast on stitches for the front edges and work five buttonholes on one side. The cardigan therefore has almost no assembly.
The sweater is worked in Mayflower London Merino, which is spun from 100% pure new and fine merino wool in a wonderfully soft quality. The light and comfortable yarn is therefore ideal for a sweater or, in this case, a cardigan. The soft wool will feel great on even the most delicate skin. The wool is superwash-treated and can easily withstand a trip to the washing machine, making the cardigan easy to care for on a daily basis.
