The Viola Sweater Junior is a mini version of the popular Viola Sweater, so now you can knit matching sweaters for both mother and daughter.

The sweater is distinctive with its beautiful lace pattern covering the yoke. Yet it retains a simple look as the rest of the sweater is knitted in stockinette stitch and finished with a classic double rib.

To achieve the right balance between soft volume and structure, the sweater is knitted in one strand Mayflower Easy Care Tweed and one strand Mayflower Super Kid Silk. Our Easy Care Tweed consists primarily of wool, while Super Kid Silk is a luxurious blend of mohair and silk.

This sweater is seamless, even though it is knitted from the bottom up. The sleeves are knitted separately and then knitted directly onto the sweater with raglan decreases. The sweater is relatively easy to knit and the yoke lace pattern is the most challenging element besides the raglan decreases.

The Viola sweater is also available for adults in two different qualities: Knit it in either Easy Care Classic Tweed or Super Kid Silk (find the pattern here) or in Easy Care Classic and New Sky Light (find the pattern here).

Strikkefasthed: 14 sts in stockinette on needle 7 in 1 strand ECCT and 2 strands SKS = 10 cm.
