Willy Vest
A simple and classic men's vest with ribbed edges and a textured check pattern throughout, which gives the vest an attractive look.
The Willy vest is worked from the top down. The back is worked down to the armholes, then cast on stitches for the front on the left and right shoulders. When the neckline is finished, join the front pieces into one, then join the entire piece at the armholes and work in the round. The edges are worked in ribbing for a nice finish.
The vest is worked in the wool Mayflower Easy Care Classic Tweed, which makes for a warm and breathable vest that will look great over a t-shirt, long-sleeved blouse or shirt. The tweed dots give the vest a nice play of colors and work well with the simple pattern of the vest. The vest can also be knitted in a solid color with Mayflower Easy Care Classic, which has the same gauge and length.
