Vibe Cardigan

The delightfully soft, warm Vibe Cardigan feels so wonderful to wear. It is knitted from top to bottom, does not need to be equipped with buttons, and is designed with a variety of patterns. And since all patterns are made with knit and purl stitches, you don't need to be a knitting expert to follow along.

The sweater is knitted in the wonderfully voluminous Mayflower Rimini consisting of 67% lyocell and 33% polyamide. A thin, colored tubular net of polyamide around a white lyocell base provides a breathable, warm, and fantastically soft yarn that is suitable for the whole year and has a firm yet light structure. Just the right yarn for the Vibe Cardigan, where you get a lovely sweater that can quickly wrap around the body and provide some warmth - without getting too hot. The yarn's fullness makes Rimini a fantastic alternative to more traditional tube yarn with a filling of, for example, wool and alpaca fibers, making the Vibe Cardigan a sweater that will suit all those who usually avoid wool.

Lyocell is one of the fibers of the future. It is based on organic and renewable wood fibers, most often from eucalyptus trees. In an environmentally friendly and gentle process, it is transformed into long fibers that can be spun into a super soft and durable yarn.

Since Rimini is an elastic yarn, you should use large needles (needle 6), but remember to make a gauge swatch, especially if you tend to knit tightly. The polyamide net around the lyocell fibers is thin and fine, so we recommend that you handle it gently and keep it away from, for example, Velcro, which could otherwise tear it apart.

The unique color combination with the white interior and the colored exterior gives a beautiful mottled expression when you knit, and the darker the yarn you choose, the more noticeable the color difference. Rimini is available in several lovely colors, which can make it difficult to choose just one. In this example, our cardigan is knitted in no. 2 (light sand).

When the front and back are knitted, the sleeves are knitted from top to bottom directly onto the piece by picking up stitches around the armhole. If you quickly learn the pattern, we have also designed a beautiful short-sleeved blouse in the same characteristic structure: Vibe Tee.
