The Mayflower size guide is based on chest width measured directly on the body.
When an over-width is given in Mayflower patterns, this number is adjusted to the fit that the designer intended the design to have. The stated bust width also includes the range of motion.

The Thyra sweater is knit from top to bottom in garter st and rib with raglan collections in the support piece. At the beginning of the work, the German Short Rows are knit, giving the sweater a really good fit. The sweater is knit with pattern in a single diagram, which with its contrasting colors is a nice detail.
The sweater is knitted in Mayflower Easy Care Big, which is a classic, 6-wired wool yarn of 100% high quality merino wool. Merino wool is a breathable and pure natural material that the body can easily breathe. The yarn is durable, soft and easy to knit evenly, making it really good for pattern knit. Easy Care Big is superwash-treated and can therefore go machine at 40 degree spare program and in dryer.
