The Kolding cardigan is a lovely and soft v-neck cardigan, where the yarn choice influences both color and pattern.
The cardigan is worked top down in stockinette stitch with raglan increases. The bottom edge and sleeve edges are worked in rib in a contrasting yarn quality. The wide button plackets are worked in double knit for a sharp edge and a nice finish.
The striped pattern emerges all by itself as the Kolding cardigan is knitted in Mayflower Taormina. The soft yarn is constructed with one long colorway, resulting in a stunning striped pattern. In addition, Taormina is an incredibly soft and delicious yarn, as it is spun from alpaca fibers. The edges are knitted in the wool yarn Mayflower Easy Care Classic.
