This blanket is a fun and challenging knitting project where you really get to work with domino knitting.
Domino knitting is a unique technique where the work is created from smaller squares that are continuously knitted together starting from one corner. Therefore, you never have to deal with hundreds of stitches on the needle at once, and the technique is completely assembly-free.
The blanket is knitted using two strands of Mayflower Birmingham, a blend of alpaca and wool with beautiful tweed flecks of viscose. The yarn gives the blanket a lovely color play, as the tweed flecks add a speckled effect to the domino-knitted squares.
